Stress is the body’s way of dealing with what it perceives as a threat. The body doesn’t distinguish between emotional threats and physical threats so it will react just as strongly to an emotional threat, like a bill you need to pay, as it would to a physical threat like someone attacking you. Dealing with stress without finding the root cause could be detrimental to health.

Anxiety is a feeling of worry or fear, commonly about things that have yet to happen. It becomes a problem when it impacts the way you go about your daily life. One way anxiety may present itself is through shortness of breath. Counselling therapy could help you unfold the initial sensitising events that lead to the problem.
